Description

System Information
Operating system: Win10
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX3090

Worked: v2.80 29.07.2019

Short description of error
Instanced mesh objects (e.g. Particle System, Collection Instances) which consist of only vertices are not properly displayed in the viewport. There is only one instance shown on the particle emitter.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • create mesh object (e.g. UV Sphere)
  • in edit mode select everything and delete only edges and faces
  • create a plane with hair particle system and the UV Sphere as particle

-> Particles are not shown properly

for collection instances

  • move UV Sphere to its own collection
  • add collection instances of the the UV Sphere collection

-> first collection instance should be visible, the ones created after are not, selecting the collections instances may change visibility
