System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19041-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 457.30

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.91.2, branch: master, commit date: 2021-01-19 16:15, hash: blender/blender@5be9ef4177
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Addon Information
Name: AnimAll (0, 8, 3)
Author: Daniel Salazar zanqdo@gmail.com

Short description of error
I went to use Animate All as I did just the other day to animate some lattices in Edit mode, but the tab is missing.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
See attached screenclips.
AnimAll Animate Prefs no plugin ref.png and AnimAll tab not showing.png
Troubleshooting:

  • Checked Edit > Preferences > Addons. AnimAll was checked enabled
  • Checked docs link. Docs say "Click Animation then AnimAll to enable the script". Checked. See no reference to addin. (See screen clip)
  • Restarted Blender. No change.
  • Restarted entire system. No change.
  • I see other Addin tabs.
  • When I look at N-panel > Tools > Workspace > Filter Add-ons, I see AnimAll listed. It does not show if I toggle the filters, its checkbox or both. The other addons behave as expected.

I'm out of ideas.

Was working just fine. Now it's gone. Am I going blind or missing something silly?

You only have a grease pencil object in your scene and the add-on only displays the panel in the Animate tab when the active object is either a mesh, lattice, curve or surface .

Yes. Thank you. I just discovered that also and came back here to update this. Sorry for the bug report when it was user error.

That said, here's an enhancement request: Allow Anim All to animate strokes.

Example:
One Grease Pencil object. Two drawings (maybe on different layers and/or with named vertex groups), let's say a circle and a triangle. Animate the circle up and to the left (no new Grease Pencil frames drawn) over 100 frames. Animate the triangle's scale changing (again, no Grease Pencil frames drawn) over 150 frames offset from the circle's by 20 frames.

The idea is to get a smooth movement by treating Grease Pencil vertices like lattice vertices (or other construct).
