Couldn't reproduce this on the latest 3.0 Alpha, but I was able to reproduce this on 2.80 release
The issue was possibly fixed in #75974.

Well, maybe it is not reproducible on 3.0, but on latest 2.93 daily build with default settings reproducible (tested ~10 builds I currently have on PC).

Also cannot reproduce this.

Could you show a screencast of this in action?
Please try with File → Defaults → Load Factory Settings to see if you still can reproduce this issue.

@DotBow , Not sure I understand the problem, do you mean to say selecting a face in UV editor and then pressing Shift+H only highlights face of one object instead of both objects faces in viewport?

If that's the case then I can confirm the report.

(Again, Philipp commented here already and I did not notice that :p)

Not sure I understand either, this is how it behaves here:

#88625.blend

#88625.webm

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. It was always working the same as in 3D Viewport Edit Mode. UV Sync should be enabled by the way.

@lichtwerk here is the video
