System Information
Operating system: macOS 11.4 Big Sur
Graphics card: AMD Radeon Pro 560
Blender Version
Broken: 2.93.0, branch: master, commit date: 2021-06-02 11:21, hash:
84da05a8b8
Worked: earlier build of Blender 2.93 Beta, cannot tell which one
Short description of error
Blender 2.93 crashes randomly when changing values in the panels (in the bottom left of the 3D View) of operators like “Add Plane”, “Add Cube” and also in panels of add-ons (e.g. “Rock Generator” in the “Extra Objects” add-on). The crash occurs when switching value input fields in these panels (by clicking on another input field or by pressing Tab to go to the next one), but not consistently.
I have encountered this issue in Blender 2.93.1 RC and Blender 3.0 Alpha as well, but only in the last few days. There was a build of Blender 2.93 Beta that still worked correctly before the release of Blender 2.93, but I cannot tell which one.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Problem Report
(From a crash when I was working on an existing file, that is why the
RNA_property_pointer
stuff is included)Added subscriber: @johjakob-3

There was this bug #80203 (Crash when changing torus properties ).
Can't redo the one reported here on 2.93.0,

First i thought it may be similar to #80203, but on closer look I don't think it is.
Please click on File > Defaults > Load Factory Settings, repeat steps to reproduce and check if the crash still happens?
@iss No, this seemed to have fixed the issue. I can’t reproduce the crash after loading the factory settings.
This means that most likely cause of crash is some addon you had enabled. Can you try to identify which one causes this problem by enabling/disabling currently used addons?
@iss I just did. The Alice/LG add-on for working with Looking Glass devices seems to be the culprit. Blender does not crash when the add-on is disabled. I’m going to open an issue in the add-on’s repository.
Sorry for the trouble!

Thanks for checking, Closing this report. If issue is on our side, addon developer can open new issue with steps to reproduce and minimal viable demonstration of problem.
Could be #89265 (Use-after-free when tabbing through numeric inputs) though.
The developer of Alice/LG just published a new version that resolves the crash. See this issue on GitHub.
