System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19041-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 Intel 4.5.0 - Build 23.20.16.5037
Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.93.1, branch: master, commit date: 2021-06-22 05:57, hash:
1b8d33b18c
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
Short description of error
While using eevee engine, in viewport shading there's a lot of white pixelated noise (even if sampling is set to 500) and while rendering the background is visible through the mesh. For cycles the viewport shading is fine but while rendering it is rendering over the previous render. Please see the uploaded screenshot for more detail.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Use viewport shading and render in the following attached blend file.

Can not reproduce on windows. (blender version: 3.0.0,
118803893e
)Upgrading the driver will possibly fix the issue. Current version is little old so upgrading might help. can you please check that?
(refer: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/troubleshooting/gpu/windows/intel.html)
I think it was issue of graphic card, somehow setting was changed and it was changed from nvidia to intel and that was what logged in bug as well. Changing the graphic card solved the problem but the issue of rendering over previous render has not changed and I still encounter that issue
Reason I asked to upgrade the driver because your version is presently old.
And issue like this generally happens due to old drivers. Can you please try upgrading that?
Also please provide system information generated from the help menu:
Help -> Save system info
Drivers are fully updated and I have attached my system info

Thanks for the file. Version of your present driver is
23.20.16.5037
where the recent version is30.0.100.9684
I think you tried to update driver from device manager: (
Device manager -> Display Adapters -> Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630
).This will always show that your driver is up to date even if it's not.
To download the upgraded version, please refer: check: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/126789/Intel-UHD-Graphics-630
Changed status from 'Needs Triage' to: 'Needs User Info'
Can you please try this?
While updating ran into the issue that "Your system has a driver that is locked to manufacturer specification" so can't update the drivers for intel

Not sure if I can help you in this case. May be other triagers, developers will help you (resetting the status)

I can't reproduce the problem either. Which corroborates the suspicion that it's a graphics driver issue and not how the OpenGL API is used in Blender.
Realistically, not much we can do here apart from suggesting checking on a newer drivers on the vendor website (and never rely on windows update to take care of drivers).
While this is a real issue, it is only happening to a few people so far. And to troubleshoot it developers needs to have direct access to hardware. And even then it is not clear whether it's a solvable problem from our side...
So thanks for the report, but doesn't currently looking like we can solve this driver issue :(
