Performance issues with interaction with Grease Pencil objects
Needs Information from User, NormalPublic

System Information
Operating system: Linux-5.11.0-7620-generic-x86_64-with-glibc2.31 64 Bits (My distribution is POP¡OS, based on ubuntu)
Graphics card: AMD Radeon(TM) Vega 6 Graphics (RAVEN, DRM 3.40.0, 5.11.0-7620-generic, LLVM 11.1.0) AMD 4.6 (Core Profile) Mesa 21.1.4 (git-ac105a8e6e)

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.93.1, branch: master, commit date: 2021-06-22 05:57, hash: rB1b8d33b18c2f
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
When I move, rotate, or scale a grease pencil object makes blender lag like crazy. After hiding the object, and making it visible again, the lag stops but if I try to move it again the lag appears again. The weird part about it is that it only happens in object mode. When I am in edit mode there is no lag.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
By pressing G, S or R, to perform their respective actions in object mode, the overall performance of blender starts decreasing tremendously. It also happens right after I add a Grease Pencil Monkey.
It happens on the default startup and also in the file were I faced this issue.

Event Timeline

@Antony Ruano (Anto) , thanks for the report. can you please check again with factory default settings? (File -> Defaults -> Load Factory default settings)

Can not replicate the issue but looks similar to T86342

Richard Antalik (ISS) changed the task status from Needs Triage to Needs Information from User.Thu, Jul 22, 7:19 AM

T86342 is memleak in intel GPU drivers on windows, so probably not the same issue, But perhaps could be same as T83488

@Antony Ruano (Anto) Can you run blender from console and paste output?
Perhaps you could send output of dmesg command.
