Broken: version: 3.0.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2021-07-21 18:41, hash: rB64bb49fa4e3c
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
blender is unable to bake fluid simulations via api.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

I have uploaded a script which produces this error. If you run this script (baking should take about 20 seconds) and then try to play the animation you will see the 'SystemError: PyEval_EvalCodeEx: NULL globals' error. If you attempt to run it again blender, after attempting to view the animation, blender will crash.

I want to confirm that this is NOT a problem with file naming.

The behavior is identical for both 2.93 and the latest 3.0 release.

Thanks again!

Can confirm the crash.

Thanks for the report. Marking this as known issue since it depends on the old particle settings which is end of life.

Was able to recreate this and can confirm it is resolved in master by the same fix as https://developer.blender.org/T98427
