Short description of error
Knife project not working, gives an unexpected error
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I added a cube subdivided it twice, then added a circle for a knife project from the top, then selected the circle first, then the cube, entered the edit mode, and selected knife project from the mesh menu, and produced unexpected error.
"No other selected objects have wire or boundary edges to use for projection"

lol, I just did the same thing today.
They changed how it works.
Needs to be merged with #90656
Hello, the manual still says, is to select both objects in the object mode and then enter the edit mode?, show me how is the new way then?
Changed status from 'Resolved' to: 'Needs Triage'
Not sure if change expected in
blender-v2.93-release
branch. Also manual is not updated yet if the present behavior is expected for 2.93.4. (So reopening the report)Added subscriber: @Yiyang-Li

This is not bug, functionality works as intended. Only manual part requires an update.
(asked Campbell Barton: change is expected in 2.93.4)
Ok, so I can use only curves and text for knife project?, I can't use mesh circle like before for the knife projection anymore?
Added subscriber: @lichtwerk
No, you still can use a mesh.
I did a video on it, just I said Shift + Select in the video, should be Ctrl + Select.

Hi @Blendify , can you please make this change for 2.93 manual: rBM8325 ?
Added subscriber: @GAPsWorld
So now i know the correct way to do this, i can confirm it works, not sure its necessarily a better way, but thanks! :O)
Changed status from 'Confirmed' to: 'Resolved'
The documentation fixes made in the 3.0 manual have been backported to the 2.93 manual.
The website should be updated within the next 90 minutes.

This is still unliveded in Version 2.93.3 It worked, after that version of 2.93.4 onwards that error appears.
