Description of error
Cycles volumetrics mesh intersections are visible when the volume shape (density) is modified by nodes.

This might be related to the VDB bug I filed some time ago.
https://developer.blender.org/T90645
I don't think so, this issue is related to the mesh the volume with the modified shape is in, and to be more specific, the meshes the mesh in intersecting with.
This issue is unrelated to VDBs, which are completely different then mesh volumes
I do not think that mesh volumes and VDBs use different rendering pipeline internally. My bug is not necessarily about VDBs. It happens with simulated volumetrics like gas and fire as well. Basically there are lines where the planes (like in my bug) intersect with volumes at some limits.

Changed status from 'Needs Triage' to: 'Confirmed'
Can confirm this happens with meshes with 0 density or no volume shading at all, CPU or GPU. I would imagine this being already reported, but I wasn't able to find any similar reports.
I didn't find any reports either
Yes it's related to density, but after doing other tests I also noticed that it had to do with the limits of the mesh ?
A gradiant spherical texture to clamp density to a specific diameter, with two different size UV spheres meshes :

Z-fighting : (might be another issue ?)
