Short description of error
Similar to #91894, but now I realized that not just the normal pass is broken. Combined, AO, and Shadow passes are definitely also affected.
While the Normal pass was mostly fixed in
fc4886a314
, it still produces incorrect results when the Position output of the Geometry shader node is used (this affects all other passes as well). Let me know if this warrants a separate bug report.Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Also try the above with the Normal bake pass instead.

I selected Suzanne but it would not bake, it kept complaining about an uninitialized image. Is there something else I have to setup?
You have to switch the "Image Source" on the upper left from "Single Image" to "Generated":

This is fixed by D12766: Cycles: fully decouple triangle and curve primitive storage from BVH2.
