System Information
Operating system: macOS-12.0.1-arm64-arm-64bit 64 Bits
Graphics card: Apple M1 Apple 4.1 Metal - 76.1

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.0.0, branch: master, commit date: 2021-12-02 18:35, hash: f1cca30557
Additional Broken: 2.93.5 (Native Apple Silicon), 2.83.18 (Intel)
Worked: Can't find a working version

Short description of error
Having masks on two objects that reference each other causes a continuous flickering effect in the 3D Viewport.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Default Setup

  1. Create new 2D Animation project
  2. On first layer (Lines), create a Box.
  3. On second layer (Fills), create a Circle.
  4. Add fill color to default material (Solid Stroke). Makes it easier to see flickering.
  5. For the first layer (Lines - contains box from step 2), enable Masks and add a new mask for the second layer (Fills - contains circle from step 3).
  6. For the second layer (Fills / circle), enable Masks and add a new masks for the first layer (Lines / box)
  7. Invert mask created in previous step (Step 6).
  8. In Edit Mode, move the box over the circle.
  9. Flickering will begin. Scrub timeline or pan viewport to see the effect continue.
