UV issue with Cycles GPU rendering on Apple M1 Pro (Seems related to Bevel node + Texture Image) #94527

Operating system: macOS-12.1-arm64-arm-64bit 64 Bits
Graphics card: Apple M1 Pro Apple 4.1 Metal - 76.3

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.1.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2021-12-30 22:39, hash: bf4358ed0c

Short description of error

With Cycles, when the scene is rendered with the GPU, the materials that have an image texture don't appear correctly on the model, just like the UV map wasn't right.
This doesn't happen with CPU rendering.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open attached .blend file
  • Select Metal Apple M1 Pro (GPU) in the System Preferences
  • Select Display Render Preview

I'm observing a similar issue, although I did not get that black area on the back: it just seems like the entire shirt is uniformly colored.

The file seems to work properly on the CPU without any extra add-ons.

Working on simplifying the shader now.

Yes I see what you mean ! On the picture I posted above I modified the default material a lot which is not the case on the blended file I posted.

The file I posted is with the basic material from Mecabricks.

I should post the simplest photo.

I've simplified the file, but it's still not quite clear what causes the problem. It seems to involve Bevel node + Texture Image.
I'll edit the report description since the original file is very complex and some steps don't seem to be really necessary (like using the mecabricks add-on).
