Thanks for the report. I think those indices are from an addon. In 3.0.1, if you use File > Defaults > Load Factor Settings, do they still show up?

If you're looking for the indices overlay in edit mode then you need to go to Preferences > Interface > Display > Developer Extras and turn that on. Then you can find the button in the overlay menu in edit mode. This does seem different from the screenshot you're showing though. image.png

I did the File > Defaults > Load Factor Settings, as suggested and they went away so it does seem to be an add-on... Now to find which add on...the hunt begins...

Preferences > Interface > Display > Developer Extras and turn that on.

But either way, since this is added by an addon, it wouldn't be tracked as a bug here.
