System Information
Operating system: Linux-5.15.0-27-generic-x86_64-with-glibc2.35 64 Bits
Graphics card: Quadro GP100/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 510.60.02

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.3.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2022-05-13 06:14, hash: 0d1b9eabf2

Short description of error
I wasn't sure how to call the title.
The issue is that if you use the Bisect tool in the toolbar, you get an adjust last operation gizmo after using it.
But the rotation gizmo doesn't seem to take the mouse movement relative to the viewport rotation into account that well.
It behaves quite strange and unintuitively.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Go into Edit Mode on a cube
  • Select everything
  • Use the Bisect Tool from the toolbar on the cube
  • Use the blue ring on the gizmo
  • Try using it from different angles (rotate around the cube)

Thanks for the report

Sorry but I didn't understand the exact issue.
I'm having hard time predicting the exact gizmo rotation with mouse movement in viewport. Are you talking about the same problem in this report?

@PratikPB2123 Yes it's about that. A ring suggests that it would behave similarly to the rotate gizmo? But the rotation behaviour is very unpredictable and highly dependant to the viewport orientation.

Thanks for the information. I'm able to confirm this behavior.
I've also seen that in some cases gizmo doesn't even rotate (eg: in orthographic mode along any of the three axis)
Maybe replace this gizmo with the gizmo of rotation tool?
I'll forward this report to developers as I'm not sure if they consider it as a bug.
