Broken: version: 3.3.0 Alpha, branch: master{F13075856}, commit date: 2022-05-12 20:58, hash:
906b9f55af
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
Short description of error
There is still a pinching effect when using the arc option in miter inner or miter outer.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Test files:
Miter inner:
untitled.blend
It's definetely more subtle than in the 3.0 version but the issue still persists
Probably related to:
#97940
#95916
Thank you and have a nice day!

I may be misunderstanding, but in both files apparently only the
Miter inner
affects the result. So how can this problem be different from the one mentioned in #97940 (Bevel profile incorrect when using arc for inner miter) ?
Bevel modifier still pinching with arc miterto Bevel modifier still distorted with arc miterI may be misunderstanding, but in both files apparently only the Miter inner affects the result.
Sorry my bad will update.Bevel modifier still distorted with arc miterto Bevel modifier still pinching with arc miterSo how can this problem be different from the one mentioned in #97940: Bevel profile incorrect when using arc for inner miter
In #97940 the issue is that the Bevel overshoots for high profile values. In this case the profile value is set at standard 0.5 but there are still some slight pinching, which is visible in the shading. It looks like something is pulling on the Bevel corner, which looks like denting. What I expect to see is that the Bevel corner has perfectly smooth geometry (for a lack for better words), which in some cases with tricky geometry may be hard to achieve but in this case with the default cube should absolutely be possible.Changed status from 'Needs User Info' to: 'Needs Developer To Reproduce'

Whether the default values, low or high, I still think it can be merged into the same report #97940 (Bevel profile incorrect when using arc for inner miter).
I'm not sure if we need a new report for the case of the value
0.5
.@howardt, as a bevel expert, any thoughts on keeping 2 reports? (We still haven't even confirmed if the inter miter's algorithm is really incorrect).
Yes, you can combine them.
