System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19043-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 512.77

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.1.0, branch: master, commit date: 2022-03-08 18:16, hash: c77597cd0e
Worked:

Short description of error
Node editor can use both Object Index and Value input as an index to switch between various inputs, yet Geometry Nodes doesn't seem to be working that way.
I was trying to make a switch nodegroup supporting multiple inputs and working via Integer selection.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Change Integer intput value of the Geometry Node input to see the absence of the effect similar to the Shading editor
Here's a short demo and file{F13109190}

I must say the example you posted rather complex and hard to understand if you see it for the first time. Couldn't you simplify it more?

Some observations:

  • you some a rather complicated construction with math nodes (multiply the output of less than 1.1 with that of more than .9) Where you could just use an integer compare node.
  • you use a color to drive the (boolean) input of a switch node. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish here.

Could you simplify you node tree as much as possible and add some explanation in textboxes what it's supposed to accomplish.

My guess would be that this is more of a support question. If that is the case you'd be better off asking for advice on geometry nodes on one of the community sites listed here: https://www.blender.org/community/ .

In case you're sure it's really a bug could you please provide a clearer example?

Thanks, I've changed setup to utilize math-compare node and it worked as it should.
It work's in shading editor as well and looks simpler image.png

Here's how it looks in the final. Basically it allows to use integer input from 0 to 10 to select varous input. That's extremely useful for optimizing node group structure to give the end user more control.
