Falk David, I tried the test build provided on the referenced task (T85844) and the problem with the pressure sensitivity was resolved.

Alaska,
I just tested it with 2.83 alpha, and it does not crash following the process I described. I do not have the option in the action drop down to change the status to resolved though.

I have to apologize, but I now realize that in my haste to check your suggestions last night, I turned off all of the addons, which includes the Cycles addon. So while the screen captures I provided from last night show that the addon has been turned off, they also illustrate the behavior I encountered when I originally made the report. So I am thinking that if anything funny went on when I originally made the report, it would be that the cycles addon got turned off automatically. However, last night I downloaded the latest build an played around with it a little bit and I could not reproduce the behavior. I don't think that I could have inadvertently turned off the Cycles addon when I originally made the report, however, since I cannot reproduce it, perhaps it is not worth spending a lot of time on this one. If it were to happen to me again I will look into it more to see if that is the case before reporting it again. Thank you for your time.
Sorry for not responding sooner. I have disabled all the addons and the behavior is the same, and no I do not see any errors in the Console. The drop down to select Cycles as the render engine is what is no longer available. When I reported this a couple of days ago, the option to use Cycles as the render engine was initially available upon starting the program (Blender 2.8). Then later after running the render of the video, (which I canceled because it was taking too long) the option to select Cycles as the render engine was not available, and the video hardware was not being detected in preferences window. Today, though, neither the option to select Cycles as the render engine nor the hardware is being detected even upon the initial startup of the program (Blender 2.8). I'll attach a few screen captures to illustrate. The last screen capture is that of Blender 2.79 successfully detecting the hardware on this same machine.
