Also, in 2.79 - If you hit C and try to paint selection over the model - you can not navigate around the object and it is just destroys my workflow, because, if I have a large object and want to select multiple elements on its surface - I will have to hit C every time I want to paint selection then hit C again to tun off painting mode - then navigate to the next element - hit C again - paint - hit C - navigate to the next etc.
In modo it would be like - I am freely flying around and paint select necessary vertex/edge/poly. Suuuuper handy. I really want to switch on Blender after 2.8 release and I hope this feature will be there)

This new orientation manipulator for lamps is too small. And sometimes it is not visible on the screen at all. The arrow that changes the size of the spot is also not too obvious (maybe it's better to use a large circle instead of it for the spot lamp?)

linux drivers somehow allow Intel HD Graphics 3000 to support OpenGL 3.3, even though Intel says it's impossible. But it seems it's only partiall support.

It seems that is the case.
Hm,by turning the specular off, highlight on plane is turned off.

But how is specular calculated on the plane when point light is behind the object?

Do not hope for a quick solution to this problem. Developer of modelling tools and bmesh has withdrew from active blender development. It could take years before bmesh boolean mode will be corrected by someone else
