As I said, I need both: to have masked polys, and to have ability to compare colors on masked and unmasked areas.
Anyway, I hope it will be returned to 2.81 behavior.

@Harley Acheson (harley) sadly the same. Even with 2.79. International font not help at all.
Changing font to another (Dotum, Open Sans) helps. So something wrong with built-in font, perhaps.

@Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) partially it looks like flaw or design problem May be just something missed in development. But cursor`s orientation in this case is not predictible well. So it acts like bug/error/mistake.
Anyway, it became important thing, since 3d-cursor have rotation

So it resolved long time ago.
@IIS yes, it works now, even in older 2.82 build.
I remember few similar bugs was reported (value stuck, no value transfer).
As I can remember (and it can be wrong): bug was related with depsgraph`s issues.
So theese bugs can be resolved too.

Optimal display can be cleared with entering edit mode. But yes, it is still visible after applying modifier.

- Yes, a bit weird to change it with custom distance, when it is disabled, but in other hand, there is no point to add new value only for «length of those stick»

Fortunately, there is two workarounds to check only region (viewport render or second camera).
The same problem for vertex paint brush size. It takes global size, but brush circle have local size.

Since 2.79 cursor start be used in Sculpt. So I hope, it will appear.
Here the example:
I am using cursor`s rotation, I am changing it`s position, but still can`t see it.
Also can`t reproduce.
I have similar behaviour with orthographic camera and sculpt brushes.
It looks like clipping distance for camera calculated wrong for brushes, independent on camera/viewport clipping.
Should I make another report or add info here?

I am using cone to see in workbench clearly, what will be touched with light. It makes esier to aim spotlight. So yes, please, big and scalable cone as old one.
