To tell the truth, my most concern is, why Ton still builds in buildbot without supporting OpenMP? I wonder.

I had my tests. Lot of them.
So far, it works fine.
I also performed tests including arrays combined with curve deform. I also tested alt+S on the curve bezier.
Lot of deforms and rotations.
Cycles bakes them perfectly.
I believe it is fixed.

This bug is here, some time now.
Just reminding, the wrong object space I was getting, trying on a sculpt imported from zbrush.
Zbrush tends to rotate x 90º. Easy to not see it. So, wrong OS if not applying rotation. (Direct bake)
And completely wrong, when bake to active.
Lot of complains and failures of new users may be related to this.
The file bakes well in blender internal

Bake to active now bakes bumps. Excellent!
Normal maps don't show bumps though, both to active or direct baking.
Of course it is a feature,

These are two objects one on top of the other.
the targeted mesh is multires and has a noise texture as bump (procedural)
the top, the active mesh has only an active texture for making.
Delete this texture then, It was for testing bumps after all.
just try to bake a combine.

Still not able to bake TS maps on the above blend files-tests.
This time I get blank=blue TS maps, however, one triangle black, the other blue. If this means something.
Still, can't bake except a blank = black images when trying on other projects. Bake to active mode. (combined). Normal maps can be baked though. (with the exception of the testing blend).
I wonder. Is this testing file valid? Maybe I should try a fresh one? I saved it, maybe something wrong there?

I have same crashes using buildbot builds (I think still no openMP there) , and my builds (OpenMP+OSL no Cuda)
1 trying the first on the upper left. (1 material)
the top plane as active, trying the curved surface as TS nmap. Crash
grab it from here
Just reminding you,
Using the script in the console avoids crashing, however it renders a blank=blue TS map. Other baking options work well, with or without the script.

Physical cores (in my case =8) is the best. 16 threads not so. Expected.

Without exact details no one can do any real comparison.
Visit the BArtists forum, the blender tests/dyntopo tests and ask for opinions.

Doris is on a new iMAC i7 (27) nVidia lot of RAM. (I think on OSX 10.8.5)
Same behavior though
disabling multithreaded sculpting stops lagging.
However, it is the first blender that does not support this important feature.
I'll keep a 2.69 for multires sculpting. Serious sculpting I mean.

All the previous 2.69 and back official builds working fine. (and, openMP make a lot of deference in sculpting (multires) mode.
2.7 is not.
You made something wrong.

yes, it is 6a2c467 OSX
I can pin by shift clicking, I can un pin by shift clicking (or by RMB)
But if I ctrl+click this unpins everything, Ctrl+click should function differently. Now it works like shift click on pinned elements.
Obviously it is a bug.
Also checked on linux and windows builds.
