only possible conclusion a select box issue
I see no more subject opened for this problem and all mine closed of course. and always the same answers. be more specific. I can't reproduce...but it's working under 2.79. and under 2.8 all selection working exept the select box to add more object that the first one and the lamp. it's a strange bug isn't? and it's working when all origins enabled. so if it's a problem of Open GL depth picking why it's the hell it's working in other situations?
I just tried this dll too and blender freeze. update from today. pro enough?

OK I will imagine that I was wrong. I explained better with a video the last time (and the subject was "opened"). and the first one was not well explained and I can't find it. and it was since a long time as need triage, even with new elements. 3 months. I show in the last video the lasso works fine. the select box when all origins visible, too. but, not when they are not all visible (even with factory settings). [and now in the last update I can't select with the left clic and drag an object. but it's a problem of shortcuts because it doesn't do it with factory settings.]
of course two shortcuts are needed and this is what I was explaining. you are talking about the tool box default after. I'm not...
if you are a user lambda and you use this shortcut and can't put the cursor in the middle of your scene because around there are some objects, there is a pb no? and this is pure logic. this is like if in a computer language the guy had invented nor but not or...or like if snap was activated for every object move. I can't believe that I have to explain this.

the actual shortcut is always doing a snap to surface if you have an object below what you don't always want
I just did try this again, few min ago, because of the recent changes in pref, but no effect with this Open GL setting

how do you want I do a blend. this is a pb of selection. I open blender dupplicate the cube or whatever and I can select several object with the select box
I opened the bug (closed 3 times) again and I specify the HD630 graphic card. with lasso it's working^^ and when all origins is activated box select works. if not, with select box, I can only select the active object, and a lamp,but no other objects and camera. in the same collection.
and little detail the middle mouse button is no more use-able, with the new select box, to erase if we configure it
it doesn't work for me too. I ask for this since 4 months

I tried your dll it make freeze blender if I do a select box
and I wonder if it possible to make the angle of autosmooth addable in quick favorites
I have an idea to improve texture paint. add a text tool. it can be usefull if you want to add quickly text in relief in a roughness map
hi thanks for your answer. (I have always the last driver and last blender). it's solved now. but I will try this dll because I have some other issues. like I can't select several objects in 3D viewport without activating "origines (all)" in overlays. I opened a subject two months ago maybe.

obviously was a default setting in 2.79 so why to change it. 0 interest. and it's like if I didn't speak same language. maybe...
I got back some menus from 2.79 like Alt+C because when opening it I can see what is behind it help to think. as ctrl shift alt c and ctrl+t and...all get back and this is just usefull. but you wont understand...

so it will be good to indicate the snap in the information windows or a little text as press "ctrl to merge" as an information. like it's a tool I thought was really auto.
other point a possibility to select no tool would be a good point
ok I will try later with ctrl again william but automerge should be enough. here is the exact situation around 2'30 quick pyramide using spin tool
I think it will be better to have a little bit higher merge value and a setting for this to avoid it....decimal explanation is quite good for experts ^^

it's turned off I get no more pb about closing a window but I get a problem with B not selecting several object. and sometimes I have to clic on a object to actualise changes. it's like if it was no more selected. in edit stroke og grease pencil selection is not visible.

to validate some changes in material I have to click on the object it's like if it was not selected anymore.
in edit stroke I don't see any selection but it is selected
and I opened a bug about B not selecting several object in object mode.
I think it 's linked to graphic card (HD grahic 630)

this problem was present a time in 2.79 and I had a solution create a share window with preferences with split aera but it's not possible anymore for preferences.

the difference between this two functions (2.8 vs 2.79) is that EXTEND is missing
so it can't extend
I changed >add by nothing so by default middle mouse button is used to substract and no need for 2 entries.

yes it's working. big job. I had hope a such work in the interface. but it's not so sure about that...for instance modifications in keys are strange and often useless! I have to restored shift C cursor to center, ctrl alt shit c set origin. I added shift RMB to move cursor and shift alt RMB to move it on surfaces ^^ it's already possible in the key configuration. why not present in their tool menu. border select have a bug in object mode: it doesn't add several selections. it's cool to work on such mysterious keys like alt E to add several color in the ramp node but there is more logical things to do first. ctrl t and alt t back! no way. why all this is still present but was substract from the settings. ctrl u is back no way...
and in the interface if they don't understand how much faster is a crtl t I dont have to explain many other things...

Hello my subject was connected to this one.
WIN 10 processor intel I3 7300 HD graphics 630
last driver win64_184.108.40.20694
yesterday I tried the new version and now I get something normal in solid view
but with EEVEE and cycles the same issue in material view (lookdev) and render view
Open GL is ok in material view
I tried the different setting in viewportsampling to 1 and viewport quality to 0 > no change

je la fais en français en mettant les réglages comme tu le dis j'ai pu à peine discerner des objets (c'est à la limite du visible)
2 cubes un sur l'origine et un dupliqué
et quand à "Revert the changes and try to run from the command line with" ne sachant pas trop de quelle command line il s'agissait j'ai essayé dans la console Blender ce qui ne fonctionnait pas et donc j'en ai déduit que c'était dans la fenêtre command de windows?
