The following warnings appeared in the terminal when starting blender:

make annotation: AddonPreferences.bool_pdb
 make annotation: AddonPreferences.bool_xyz
 make annotation: AddonPreferences.bool_utility

This was fixed by using 'bool_name : BoolProperty(...' instead of 'bool_name = BoolProperty(...'
