System Information
Operating system: Win7 64Bit
Graphics card: Nvidea

Blender Version
2.80, Beta
Worked: worked good

Not a Bug, its only a Suggestion - Mark and move more/all Objects in Outliner

Nice to have the collections. Unfortunately the selection of objects is problematic. Situation (Problem): Particle object (Sphere) is in its own Collection2. 300 particles are converted. The converted spheres end up in Collection (origin/root).

Now it would be nice if you can at least mark the objects like in Windows. Select the first object, hold the space bar and select the last object. Result all 300 objects are selected. At the moment you have to select several objects with Shortcut B and move them to Collection2. All together does not work because the outliner does not scroll.

Otherwise good work guys! Thanks so much!converted_particles.blend

This seems like a combination of a bug report and a feature request.

The first issue, the bug, which is that Make Duplicates Real for particles puts the wrong Collection, I cannot reproduce. When I test here, the newly added objects are placed the the same collection as the emitter object.

I would like for you to confirm if you still experience this issue with the latest beta. If so, please provide an example blend file and exact steps to reproduce the issue so we can investigate.

Also, I would advise you re change the title and description of your report to only focus on the bug.

The second part, the feature request related to selecting lists in the Outliner is already a todo item: https://developer.blender.org/T57918

Oh, my God. Oh, my God. That was my fault! You're right. I had the original Sphere in the Extra-Collection. With the emitter in the collection it works as you describe it and all objects are sorted correctly.

Please apologize very much!
