{F8435163}System Information
Operating system: windows 8.1 64 bits
Graphics card: i3-4005U

Blender Version
Broken: (example: 2.82a, 29/03/2020
Worked: 2.81.0-git. 277875492564-windows64

Short description of error
I have been trying for several months to install the official versions and even the experimental ones, but none of them open correctly except the one I list in the previous section, the experimental 2.81.0 of the month of August with that series of integration that you can see above, I have tried several times update the drivers with the official installer of Intel, and on all occasions try to install them, but it ends in error, I have checked the status of the processor and even the computer itself, also on countless occasions, and everything indicates that the operation is Right.
The rest of the software that I have installed on my computer works correctly, including free software such as Krita, GIMP, Inkscape, etc., and they are all updated with each new release without any problem, it is only generating opening problems for me every new version of Blender from which I can use, including two other different versions of 2.79, it frustrates me not to be able to update to new versions, I don't know what the error will be within the code, something appreciated happened for the individual bone selection, but this time not even the interface opens

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).
I download the official installer, I run it, it installs, and when I start it, it indicates that the drivers are not updated, I enter the official website of Intel, I scan the need for new drivers, I try to install them (the ones recommended by Intel) and there is a failure in the installation of the same, I try with the official troubleshooter of Intel, and the reinstallation continues to fail, repeating this process several times according to the indications they offer me, continuous error ... and so I have been several months with the same

Run blender_debug_log.cmd (blender directory) and upload the two files it mentions

@ankitm, that will not give us any information we don't already have. This driver version is unsupported as the popup says.

The problem to be solved is the Intel driver update failing, but that is not something we can fix in Blender. If you mention the specific error message when it fails that might give a hint.

This is the driver for your graphics card (don't use the Intel auto updater):
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29474/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-40-?product=81497

There might be a driver update available from your computer manufacturer as well. In general, computer manufacturers sometimes make changes that prevent drivers being installed directly from the Intel, but then also don't keep up with updating the drivers themselves. So it's not sure if there will be one.

In Windows 10 driver updates are more often handled through Microsoft / Intel, and if upgrading is an option it will likely be possible to get the latest Intel driver.

Further, there is no bug to be fixed here in Blender and providing support is outside the scope of the bug tracker, so closing the report.

This driver version is unsupported as the popup says.

I was looking for the driver version and then check the manufacturer of the driver. Didn't see the Popup

thanks for listening, I see that I will have to settle for using the 2.79 versions that I have downloaded and the then experimental 2.81.0 .... I don't bother anymore, I would just like to thank the work they have done all these years, and thank the Foundation all the effort and dedication to offer us an incredible tool, although some of us cannot enjoy it just because we do not have recent computers or graphics of hundreds of euros, it is not a problem, I understand that we must move forward, but if a computer of five years of life you cannot use open source software ... what sense does it make that this software be included among free software programs? .. I have on that same computer several programs of this type that if they are updated correctly, without send me driver errors, such as Inkscape, Krita, GIMP, G-mic, LMMS ... and none have ever claimed drivers, I do not understand, not even the version 2.81.0 ion that I have running right now, to which I have included a lot of external addons without any problem, including Sorcar, Sverchok, etc. Greetings from the north of Spain and ... don't worry anymore, health above all, thanks.

You can use Blender on this hardware, but not without updating the driver. Blender as a 3D app requires more from graphic cards than 2D apps.

Quiet Brecht Van, do not give it more laps, I just want to comment that .... if 2.81.0 if it works perfectly, with the same drivers (something that I have updated according to Intel and its analysis) .... why does it not work no other version? ... not a problem but .... imagine that many of the users would like to try the new tools and improvements, do you have to invest thousands of euros in a new team? .... wouldn't it be better to be able to invest that part in supporting this great project? ... but no matter how I say .... you can close this conversation, I will continue using 2.81.0 and downloading third-party addons that "if" work ... and I have the others as a complement two versions of 2.79 ... for my utilities are more than enough, in the end I come to think that all the new versions of Blender will only be for powerful equipment ... a shame ... so many will return to use the other software even if it costs them part of their monthly salary ... something has to be in the code (I do not understand) but whenever a new version is released ... the vast majority of 4th generation Intel processors have problems .. is it an Intel thing? ... it can be, it can also be they are not Keep in mind when writing the Blender source code, as it already happened with the selection of bones in 2.80, a greeting and .... thanks again .... without really solving the problem ... you can close this bug
